A monumental linear structure that symbolises the ambitions of the neighbour hood. A mix of housing and working, the projects is conceived as a stone figure, that is wedged into the mountain and is counter balanced by the carving of spaces and the fill in with the glass that provides transparency for the users.
The apartments are grouped around laneways that allows for different types and sizes.
By carving out floor plates, a series of protected niches are created for each unit. The apartments are being given access to a connecting stairway that forms communal terraces. By connecting theses terraces with a stairs a communal sprit can be achieved. It will form pocket parks with communal aspirations. It allows for apartments with neighbourhood possibilities.
By creating a linear tower grounded with a grid structure with a minimal unit size, the configuration can be imagined and filled in. The grid size of 8mx8m combines a good parking grid, a proper housing unit and office type (a unit of 8x8x4m, approx 64m2 or 252m3) that can easily accommodated a large variety of tenants, eg young people that want to live close to city and starters in the office markets. The units can also be joined together to from larger space to accommodate larger apartment’s hotel room’s o office. A sustainable structure arises. As well as a mixed use building.

The building can be transformed by market forces. However at this moment sit is foreseen to include 2000m2 retail, 4000m2 office, 20000m2 of housing and 2000m2 services and basement 12000m2 containing parking and storage.
